About Me
Xavier Diaz is a New York City based filmmaker and visual storyteller with nearly a decade of experience producing documentary, event, and interview-driven video content for global institutions, brands, and cultural organizations. For six years, he has worked at the New York Stock Exchange as a Senior Digital Content Producer, where he has led projects from concept to final delivery across live events, corporate interviews, and high-profile public moments. His work included collaborations with companies such as Ralph Lauren, Reddit, and Ford, as well as filming public figures including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Serena Williams, and Robert Gronkowski.
During his time at NYSE, Xavier has gained extensive experience filming senior politicians and heads of state—including the President of Japan, President Donald Trump, and First Lady Jill Biden—often operating in highly controlled, security-sensitive environments. He regularly conducted and filmed executive and on-camera interviews and delivered polished content under tight deadlines. This work required a strong command of lighting, audio, composition, and on-the-fly problem-solving in fast-paced settings.
Alongside his institutional and commercial work, Xavier maintains a strong documentary practice centered on cultural storytelling. His films explore how traditions are passed down through family, music, dance, and community, particularly within diasporic communities in New York City. This work led to his acceptance into the BRIC Documentary Intensive, where he continued to develop a people-first, observational approach to filmmaking.
